What to expect…..
ACCRA
Accra is the capital of Ghana, on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park honors Ghana’s first president, who helped lead the country to independence. The park contains Nkrumah’s mausoleum and a museum charting his life. Makola Market is the city’s vast, colorful bazaar. Popular seafront spots Labadi Beach and Kokrobite Beach offer golden sand and high-energy nightlife.
KUMASI
Kumasi is the capital city of the Ashanti Region, in southern Ghana. It’s known as a center for Ashanti culture. In the huge, open-air Kejetia Market, stalls sell everything from glass beads to Ashanti sandals. The National Cultural Centre offers craft workshops and dance performances. It includes the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, which displays jewelry and ceremonial clothing belonging to the 20th-century Ashanti king.
ELMINA
Elmina is a fishing port on the south coast of Ghana, in West Africa. It’s known for its beaches and for its role in the former transatlantic slave trade. Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482, was a base for trading slaves, gold and ivory. The 17th-century Fort St. Jago was used by the Dutch to attack Elmina Castle. The Elmina-Java Museum records the recruitment of Africans into the Dutch army.

Deposit and Payments: I understand all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable (including deposits). The total is dependent on a group travel rate and are subject to change if the participation falls below a number consistent on a group. I further acknowledge that I have been advised to purchase travel insurance to protect my investment. All payments to Majestic Dream Vacations are non-refundable and non-transferable. In an effort to negotiate the best experience and price, our travel partners do not provide refunds.
Prices: are subject to change without notice. Please make your reservations today at this price to be locked in.
Roommate: You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments. We will make every effort to notify you if your roommate is no longer complaint with our payment policy.
Monthly payments: Your invoice will clearly note your payment plan and as a courtesy we will provide monthly electronic reminders.
Changes: In Flight, Hotels and Transfers: Majestic Dream Vacations will make every effort to operate all tours as printed in the itinerary, digital brochures, flyers and on the website. However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the tour. We will do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are deemed to be necessary for any reason.
Airline: Please note that flight changes are at the discretion of the airline, therefore Majestic Dream Vacations reserves the right to make airline modifications as we see fit to accommodate our clients. Seat assignments ARE at the discretion of airlines. Seats for this group tour are only located in economy class.
Last Minute Reservations: All reservations must be made no later than 60 days prior to departure. If requested services cannot be confirmed, payment will be refunded. If services are confirmed, final payment is due within 24 hours and all applicable cancellation penalties will apply.
Name Changes: Name changes are not permitted, name corrections will carry a fee of $100.00 and this information must be received in writing 40-days prior to departure or as specified by the airline.
Tours: Please note that some tours are included and are subject to change due to weather and or unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to supply another tour to take the place of the tour that was replaced. Tours do not have a monetary value for a cash or credit refund.
Ground Transfers: Please note that all transfers and excursions will have specific times of departures and will be unable to accommodate late arrivals.
Hotel Amenities: Hotel amenities may change without notice, however our partner hotels aim to exceed your expectations.

Day 1 – Akwaaba! Welcome to Ghana 🇬🇭
Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed with an authentic “Akwaaba” greeting by our local tour representative — your first introduction to Ghanaian hospitality.Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel to settle in and refresh after your international journey.

Day 2 – Accra City Tour
After a restful night in Accra, set out to explore the heart of Ghana’s capital. Visit the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre, honoring the renowned Pan-Africanist who made Ghana his home. Continue past Independence Square to view the Flame of African Liberation, then explore Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, celebrating the life and legacy of Ghana’s founder.

Day 3 – Kumasi
Travel by short flight to Kumasi, the Garden City and cultural heart of the Ashanti Kingdom. Experience a slower pace as you visit traditional villages, including Adanwomasie, renowned for its centuries-old Kente weaving traditions, and learn the meaning behind Adinkra symbols, ancestral designs printed using natural dyes.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your cultural exploration.

Day 4 – Kumasi
Explore Kumasi’s rich heritage with visits to the National Cultural Centre, its vibrant craft market, and the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, offering insight into Ashanti history. View the legendary Okomfo Anokye Sword, deeply connected to the Ashanti Kingdom.

Day 5 – Cape Coast
Journey to Cape Coast, with a meaningful stop at Assin Manso, once a major site during the transatlantic slave trade. Visit Ndonkor Nsuo, the Enslaved African River, where captives were held before being taken to the coast.
Continue to Cape Coast for lunch at an ocean-view restaurant, then check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and reflect at leisure.

Day 6 – Cape Coast
Visit Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 1665, once used as a major holding point during the transatlantic slave trade. Tour the male and female dungeons and pass through the Door of No Return, followed by time at the on-site museum and souvenir shop.

Day 7 – Return to Accra
Begin the day with a visit to Kakum National Park, home to one of Africa’s few canopy walkways, offering breathtaking views above the rainforest. Continue to a nearby village for a traditional naming ceremony, where elders welcome you with drumming, dancing, and the gift of a meaningful Ghanaian name.

Day 8 – Juneteenth Day of Service
On Juneteenth, we honor freedom through purpose and community. This day is dedicated to giving back through a meaningful Day of Service, connecting with a local organization or community initiative in Accra. Together, we serve, reflect, and celebrate the enduring spirit of resilience, unity, and liberation that Juneteenth represents, creating impact beyond the journey itself.
The remainder of the day will be at your leisure and Farewell Dinner.

Day 8 – Departure
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and begin the journey back to Accra, enjoying scenic coastal views and passing notable historical and heritage sites along the way. Pause for a farewell lunch at a local restaurant, followed by time for last-minute shopping at Ghana’s largest arts and crafts market.Transfer to the airport for your return flight home, concluding an unforgettable 8-day journey through Ghana curated with intention and care.
